First of all....I have to say, the dress was a HIT! Here it is!
I am the one in the red....and don't my friends look awesome!!! These are my two BFF's that I have known since the beginning of time. I cannot express to you how much fun it was to see everyone again and talk and dance! We definitely partied like rock stars!!!
I had shown my friends the front of my dress but saved the back for a surprise. When my friend Kim saw it she said...."oh, there's a party in the back....a BIG party!" Haha! Here's the back....the guys are two of my classmates and my BFF's spouse.
I had to do some strategic taping in order to keep everything covered that should be covered. ;)
So, here is my advice when picking out a dress for a reunion or a special event (not necessarily for a wedding though because you wouldn't want to one-up the bride!).
* ACCENTUATE the POSITIVE - know what your best 'parts' are and show them off tastefully....[ie, if you have good legs (I do not) where a dress that shows a little leg.] Having the right FIT for your body is key.
* Wear COLOR...you want to wear a color that does not wash you out and branch out from your basic black dress. Save that for the wedding.
* Wear something that makes you feel like a million bucks! When you feel great in what you are wearing you will carry yourself with confidence.
